Upcoming Events:
March for Meals

Broward Meals on Wheels is hosting our annual March for Meals campaign in March. We invite civic minded individuals, community leaders and businesses to "tour" Meals on Wheels by delivering or serving meals for one day in March to experience first hand the need in their community and what they can do to help.

Throughout the month, participating restaurants will also be helping raise awareness about Meals on Wheels by proudly displaying information about the services and programs in their businesses and accepting donations from their patrons.

For more information or to join our campaign contact Colleen at 954-731-8770 ext 6927 or cbrown@bmow.org

Broward Meals on Wheels’ Volunteers provide grocery shopping services for seniors and disabled adults at local Publix Supermarkets. Clients must pay for their own groceries.

To start grocery shopping services, please call to speak to our Program Coordinator. We will match you with a shopping volunteer in your area and assist you in setting up a grocery shopping account with Broward Meals on Wheels.

Once assigned, your grocery shopping volunteer will assist you with preparing a grocery list, go shopping for you, and help you put your groceries away. Volunteers typically shop once every other week. They will not take you to the store nor will they run other errands for you.

Minimum starting balance for a new BMOW grocery shopping account is $20. Personal checks and all major credit cards are accepted. It is your responsibility to replenish your account as necessary. Beginning April 1st, there will be a $4.95 transaction charge every time you replenish your BMOW grocery shopping account.
